Grandma Redd

Grandma Redd came to visit in July. We sure loved having her here. She took care of us and spoiled JJ as usual!! I did not get very many pictures while she was here, but I did get this cute one.

We were flying home to Utah for the 24th of July so Grandma took JJ home to Utah a couple days before Josh and I went home so he could spend some time with all the family in Utah since he doesn't get to see any of them very often. He got spoiled way to much by everyone and was sad to come back home with his boring mom and dad.

While at Grandma Redd's JJ loved playing outside in her back yard, playing on the swing set, eating popsicles, jumping on the tramp, going to Chuck E Cheeses, playing on the tramp and most of all getting spoiled by grandma!

Fourth of July!!

We had a fun fourth of July weekend. On friday we had a barbeque at our house with a few friends and then set off some little fireworks for the kids. JJ was not to sure about the party confetti ones, but enjoyed the sparklers and the spinners! On saturday we started off the day going to our ward breakfast, then to the coppell parade with some friends from the ward. This was JJ's first parade and he really enjoyed it! I think it was because they threw out so much candy! He was on a sugar high by time we were done with the parade.

Waiting for and watching the fireworks! I love this boy.

JJ loved the sparklers for the short second he got to play with it!! We found out that it wasn't a very good idea to let toddlers try and do sparklers!! We almost found out the hard way. Luckily nobody got hurt:)

Helping daddy with the fireworks!

RANDOMNESS!

My handsome boy is getting so grown up! Isn't he just the cutest thing you have ever seen!

We decided to have a little campout one night in our living room. JJ loved playing in the tent, jumping on the mattress, and of course all the goodies we had! JJ was enjoying the tent so much that it ended up staying set up for a couple of days until I could not stand it anymore!

Mmmmm... Spaghettios!! One of JJ's favorite things to eat, and also one of his first times eating it. As you can see he is making a complete mess, but man he sure was enjoying it!

JJ is learning early!! I don't really know if this is a good thing, but they really enjoyed the father son bonding:) I love that JJ loves his daddy so much. Whenever Josh gets home from school JJ gets this huge smile on his face and runs into his daddy's arms. Poor Josh, he never gets a break and can't ever enjoy dinner because his son wants all of his attention. Josh is such a good dad and plays and adores JJ. I love to watch him in action because he is the best dad anyone could ask for.

Babies!

For my memory!! Brock and Chan had their baby Brightyn May 30th. She is a precious little angel and it makes me so excited to welcome my little angel into this world. It is so fun to have family members that have kids around the same age. It is going to be so fun when all the little kiddos get a little older and can play together.

Jeremy and Sarah had their baby Crew May 18th. What a cutie he is. We have yet to meet him since they live in Singapore, but can't wait to. We are all going threw withdrawls here, but love to see pictures.

Mom comes to visit!

My mom came to visit in May before she headed down to Brock and Chan's to see the newest arrival of the family Brightyn. We always love when mom comes to town. It means home made meals, clean house, help with JJ, and wonderful company. We had lots of fun. We went swimming, shopping, went to the zoo again, and as always got much needed pedicures. I didn't get very many pictures but here are a few that I did get.

JJ has become quite the little fish since he has gotten use to his floaty. He seems like such a big boy when he is in the pool and just floating around by himself. He sure is growing up fast.

There was a little birthday party going on one day when we were at the pool. They were nice enough to share an extra cupcake with JJ and he inhaled it!! He had blue frosting all over. Oh and don't worry that his poop was blue the next day as well! Haha.

I think he enjoyed the zoo even more this time around. He was pointing to all of the animals and saying his favorite line "whats that?" By the end of the day he was completely wiped out and passed out in the car within minutes.

Fort Worth Zoo

I have been horrible at updating my blog, so I am going to try and catch up! Sorry this is so long ago, but this is more for my own memory! We took JJ to the zoo for the first time a couple months ago. He loved looking at all the animals, but was a little afraid of the gorillas!!

JJ Loved the elephants,

was very intrigued by the tiger,

but his absolute favorite was feeding the birds! There were so many birds flying around JJ was having the time of his life. Daddy did a good job teaching him how to get the birds to land on his stick.

p.s. JJ threw up all over his clothes on the way to the zoo. I was not prepared with an extra outfit and the only article of clothing that we could find was a onesie. Therefor JJ got to run around in a onesie all day, but it was probably a good thing since it was so HOT that day!
